Associate Professor of Criminal Procedure
Lucio Camaldo is Associate Professor of Criminal Procedure at the Faculty of Law of the University of Milan, Department of Legal Sciences “Cesare Beccaria”. He also teaches Juvenile criminal procedural law and European judicial cooperation law in criminal matters. He obtained the National Scientific Qualification for the functions of first level professor. He is Coordinator of the “Specialization Course in Juvenile Criminal Justice: the minor offender” and scientific director of the “Coordinated Research Center for Defense Guarantees and Criminal Trials in Europe”. He directs, with some colleagues, the editorial series Orizzonti della giustizia penale minorile (Giappichelli) and is a member of the scientific committee of numerous legal journals. He is also President of the Milan and Western Lombardy Delegation of the Union des Avocats Européen. He participates as a speaker in conferences and teaches training and specialization courses. He is the author of numerous scientific publications, as well as editor of collective works. In particular, we highlight the monograph L’udienza preliminare nel processo penale minorile (Giappichelli, 2023).
